Warranty Policy

Bluewave Antenna Systems Ltd. (the “Company”) warrants all products to meet published product specifications as they may exist from time to time and to be free from manufacturer’s defects in materials and workmanship at the time of shipment.

The Company’s obligation under this warranty for Company manufactured products is limited to the repair or replacement of any products found to be defective during the warranty period. For Summit series antennas, the warranty period does not exceed five (5) years from the date of shipment by the Company. For Guardian series antennas, the warranty period does not exceed one (1) year from the date of shipment by the Company. For all other products the warranty period does not exceed three (3) years from the date of shipment by the Company.

The Company will not accept products for warranty repair or replacement without prior authorization, and the party returning the goods must prepay all shipping charges on such items. Shipments must be clearly marked with a Bluewave warranty return authorization number (RMA) and reference to the original transaction number. Any such return shipments not so marked will not be accepted.

Representatives of the Company at the Company factory or depot will only make determination of Company liability for warranty repair or replacement after a complete inspection of the product in question.

Suitability for product use is the sole responsibility of the buyer. The Company and its suppliers are in no event liable for damages, consequential or otherwise, resulting for the misuse of its products, whether expressed or implied.

No agent or representative is authorized to assume or extend liability or warranty for Bluewave Antenna Systems Ltd.

Non Warranty Returns

Only standard catalog products (that is, labeled as ‘Bluewave’) may be returned for non-warranty reasons.

All such returns will be assessed a 20% re-stocking charge. Such products returned must be in new and sellable condition and in original packaging.

Returned goods shipments must be clearly identified with a Bluewave Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA). Accompanying documentation must include reference to the original transaction number.

All authorized returns must be freight PREPAID.

Warranty Q&A

Cables & Connectors

1. All products sold with integral cable feeds are electronically tested to ensure they meet specifications. Accordingly, cracked or damaged cables in the field are not considered valid warranty returns.

2. All factory applied connectors are pull tested to ensure physical and electrical integrity. However, field installation conditions can sometimes put tremendous strain on cable and connectors. Connectors that may fail under these circumstances are not considered valid warranty returns. Bluewave representatives will work with you to supply replacement components.

Horizontal Polarization Mounting in Wet Environments

1. Antennas that are known to be mounted using horizontal polarization in wet or coastal environments should be ordered without the Dipole vent hole.

2. If any standard vented dipoles are installed for horizontal polarization in wet or coastal environments the vent hole should be sealed (as indicated in the installation instructions provided with each antenna)

3. Antenna failure resulting from a failure to seal the vent hole in these circumstances is not considered a valid warranty problem.

 

Shipping

Unless otherwise agreed at the time that the order is placed, the Company reserves the right to make partial shipment for which payment shall be made in accordance with the terms noted herein.

The Company will utilize client specific carriers and accounts – when they are provided – otherwise Bluewave will ship via it’s own designated carrier. Airfreight will be used for all shipments outside of North America unless otherwise specified.

If the sales conditions have been met which require us to pay freight, we will ship utilizing the most economical means.

Any claims for damage or loss in transit must be made promptly by the buyer against the carrier. Claims for shortages must be made within thirty (30) days after the shipment from the Company factory or depot.

Prices

Orders will be billed according to the price prevailing at the time the order was placed. Only written quotations will be considered valid. Prices are ex-works our factory unless otherwise specified, and are subject to change without notice. Prices published or quoted do not include federal, provincial, state, municipal or excise taxes. Minimum billing is $125.00 net.

Payment Terms

Shipments will be made only on accounts that are current, in good standing and approved by our credit department. Payments may also be done via prepayment, credit card or C.O.D. Bluewave reserves the right to change terms of sale at any time. Once you have established an open account, payment is required 30 days from the shipment date, unless otherwise stated on the invoice. There will be a $25.00 charge for cheques returned for any reason. Payments must be made from the invoice provided as no statement will be issued. A late payment charge of 2% per month will be charged on all invoices which are not paid within the defined terms.
