SURGE SUPPRESSORS
The communications component of most SCADA applications involves
more than just a radio and an antenna. Invariably, a small RF jumper
or "service loop" is connected directly to the radio transceiver,
which is in turn connected to a lightning protection device, often
mounted as a bulkhead within the wall of the communications cabinet.
Then the coaxial feedline can be conveniently connected on the outside
of the cabinet, running to the antenna at the top of the mast.
